Airsoft gun firing and around 330fps when supposed to fire at 400?

I just installed a M120 spring on my tokyo marui R733 Commando and using the poor man's chrono it appears to be firing at about 330 fps... I asked a professional and he said that it is the piston but I need confirmation.
