Can you redeem a US gift card online in Canada?

So I have this $25 U.S gamestop giftcard and right now im living in Canada I go to EBGAMES And then check it out and when it says about the gift card things I type in my account number and my pin and it says invalid I kept trying but it keeps saying invalid please help? P.S I cant go to gamestop its too far
