Toshiba laptop won't connect to wifi?

My toshiba windows 8 laptop has a virus I think because it sais it's not connect to the Internet when I click on Internet explore or google chrome. The wifi bars say its commented though but when I click on the wifi options nothing happens. It won't open. My iPod and all the other devices connect fine and the rouder has unlimited usage. How can I fix it!
