Could I get money from my dad I never met?

I was curious, I am 18 and my biological father has never met me, he knows I exist but has never cared to see me and left my mom before I was born, I know he lives in the same state as me. I was wondering if I could get some type of money from him, im not interested in meeting him, just seeing if I could legally get money from him.
