My boyfriend want's to get his d**k pierced ONLY because he thinks I will like it?

I honestly wouldn't want him to go through with it because I do not find piercings attractive. However, he insists that he doesn't pleasure me. Which is NOT the case. How can I get his self esteem back up so he doesn't think he needs to mutilate himself to make me "happy"
