Do we have to register our business with the state (NJ)?

Our business makes under 1000$ USD per year. We take all of our profits and donate it to a charity (a cancer foundation in specific.) My partner and I are both under 18. Do we have to register our nonprofit business with the state? If so, would we register as a business, partnership, or a nonprofit? And how would we do so?
