How do I get the To line to fill in the contacts automatically when I am trying to forward or send emails?

I used to just type the first letter of a name and all available names would pop up and I would choose the one I want and that is no longer happening. Also I can not get yahoo contacts to let me edit or change the contacts. It just keeps saying loading and spinning around and nothing ever happens.
