theres nothing wrong with sending a card when I like to is there?

I just like to think of people on their birthdays etc. I sent one friend a card on her birthday last year and she said she felt bad because she didn't send one. I said you don't have too I just like too. Now its her birthday again and she didn't send me one on my birthday which is not a problem at all but can I send her a birthday card again
