Question #6378436

Can speculation be brought to a jury as evidence ?

Lets say someone tripped on a sidewalk with no witness, and the person said he slipped on a crack. Since there are many way someone could fall, twisted ankle, buckled knee, footwear, etc. Everything would be speculation without concrete proof.
