Why'd she show interest in me if she knew I was shy and a quiet person!!?

I'm quite shy and she knew this... But we get along quite well. I've known her for 6 years when I first met her I never talked as I was shy. Today I talk to her alot more. We hanged out for 1 month and she said your too closed off for me..... We haven't talked in 4 weeks now . She's very outgoing and a people person and I'm not.... Why'd she Persue me in the beginning and show interest if she knew what I was like that I'm a quiet and shy person
