how do I go about tell her?

I'm in grade ten, my friends is a senior who I am seriously attracted to. she has some feelings towards me but says i shouldn't get my hopes up, but i need to know under what category i fall under, if i'm bf material or just a friend. I have her phone number and we text each other a decent amount, so should i text her or tell her in person? and how should I say it?
