Nose piercing advice?

My sister is 12 and has been wanting another piercing. She mentions nose piercings alot and our mum is fine with it, she even asked at our local salon and they said it would be ok. The only problem is she doesn't know how to ask our dad as he's really strict and protective. Any advice on what to do ?! And would you recommend it ?
