Is my ex boyfriend lying to me ?

My ex boyfriend told me that my boyfriend is getting close with his ex girlfriend, my boyfriend and his ex girlfriend live with foster mums, also I don't like his ex girlfriend, someone told me that she's going out with someone I have asked my boyfriend it he said it not true also my boyfriends foster mum told my mum that they have had problems with him in the past what should I do ?
