Are red white and yellow avi cables the same as red green and blue avi cales?

I have just purchased a capture card for my xbox, but i have hdmi. So i am buying a hdmi to avi adapter but they have red green and blue cables on them, and you plug them in to the capture card, wich has red yellow and white cables. will it work and if so, which ones do I plug in???
