Im scared to wear another tampon?

A couple of periods ago, i got in my first tampon. It went in really really easy and didnt hurt as bad as i thought it would. But when i took it out, it was sooo uncomfortable and it hurt. But it was really full. I thought it isnt supposed to hurt if it is full? So now im scared to use another one. (Dont tell me to make sure it is full because it was more than enough full)
