Should I date this person ?

He still tells that he cares about her , but she did him wrong so many times and 9 months ago he got out of it . Idk i dont want to sound small but its kind of intimidating those 11 years , you never know if feelings grow back again , becasue thats alot to be with someone . What you think ? Any precautions i should take ? Lol or what ?
