why does dxtory crash my game at loading screen?

No matter what I do it crashes. I want to use dxtory because it doesn't kill my FPS like fraps while recording. Without Fraps my game runs fine but with it, it runs unbearably slow. It is pretty much unplayable sometimes dropping down between1-10 FPS. I want dxtory to work but I already tried changing to lagarith and resetting my resolution and all kinds of stuff. What is wrong with this thing! I don't feel it is nothing wrong with my system. I play completely fine through games like skyrim. Has anyone had this problem? Like why does fraps work but dxtory doesn't?
