Similarity of Haitian Creole and Antillean Creole?

I'm going to be abroad in Martinique next semester, where Antillean Creole is spoken. My library has a CD set for learning Haitian Creole. Wikipedia says the two languages are mutually intelligible. Would it be at all beneficial for me to study Haitian Creole, or should I not bother?
