Question #8050248

How to tell if you're a cat or dog person?

I've always been a very introverted person. I would much rather stay at home with a good cup of tea and a good book than be out partying on a Friday night. From what I've gathered, this is more of a 'cat person' type behavior. The only problem is that I've always had dogs; I was born into a household with a dog and when she died, we got another dog. So I'm not sure if I would like cats any better than them. I've read online that more often then not, people who have cats are more quiet and reserved and prefer cuddling on the couch, while dog people are more loud and open and prefer to be out and about almost always. I'm not sure how true this is, considering I've loved both dogs I've had and never had any issues at all, but I guess it's a general guideline. Does anyone have any insight or know how to tell which I'd like better? I've tried quizzes and all that, but most seem to be a joke (asking favorite singer, actor, etc.) and nothing can account for a real person's insight. Thank you for taking the time out to read and answer this! P.S. - Are cat's always kind of snippy and temperamental? I remember going to a friends house and petting her black cat. All was fine one moment, but the next I had a huge scratch on my hand!
