How do I deal with my religious mom?

Okay, so here's the problem. In our house, my mom is apparently the only one that fasts. I've been trying to fast each year but it doesn't work out. I try to sneak in some food every now and then. My dad says he fasts but I know for a fact that he doesn't. How do I convince my mom to join our group? Can I just tell her?
