I've had a bad cough for 3 weeks and my birthmark is itchy, do they connect?

Basically I've had this cough for 3 weeks, Sometimes I get loads of spit and I can't breathe when I'm coughing, I will go to the doctors obviously but I'm only 18 so I still have college at the moment and exams so I don't have the time this week. Also doctors have always said that my birthmark is a birthmark but it could be a mole, could this be anything serious or just a bad cough and the birthmark is a coincidence? Please help
