Is she just not interested?

There was a girl that I had been talking too for about a week when we met and a pool party. We talked for a week and hung out almost everyday and I got her # and we said we'd keep in touch. Well, I texted her on Friday at about 8:00 and she still hasn't responded. I'm not sure if I should text her again but if I wait for her to respond and never does that would send a message that we aren't serious about keeping in touch. I like her a lot but she lives about 30 minutes away and now isn't answering when I text her. Should I give up? How do I handle this?
