I Jammed my finger a year ago playing football REALLY BAD please read details!?

Now one day we were warming up before the coaches got to practice my big buff friend throws a bullet with all his strength and boom my finger was jammed back not any ordinary one ether, the next day it swells 3x its size a week later i cant seem to fit a ring i always wore a that finger i never got it checked til now wich was dumb but i didnt really think it was bad bur it was no ordinary one so now a year later my doc says it probobly was fractured and heal itself ok so WILL IT STILL WORK WHEN IM AN ADULT i really dont care for some reason but the joint where it bends is big compared to my other finger and it feels different aswell
