why did he tell me these things?

Me and my work colleague have liked each other for a long time! Yesterday he was talking to me about his mum saying that she puts him down and stuff and I asked if his mum and dad were still together, he said no ! And he was telling me about his dad having ocd and stuff! Why is he telling me all this stuff? Its strange really?
